A dental bridge is a fixed replacement for a missing tooth. Two teeth either side are prepared to hold the bridge in the middle which replaces the missing tooth. The teeth on either side need to be healthy enough in order to hold the dental bridge.
Dental bridges are a good option for people who do not want, or are not eligible for, an implant, and want a fixed option, rather than something removable like a denture.
At St Ives Smiles we go through all options for tooth replacement with you. Since dental bridges are not the cheapest option, we like to thoroughly assess your suitability and appropriateness for a dental bridge.
